Do I Need a Roadworthy Certificate?

In Queensland, a roadworthy certificate is required in the following situations:

When selling or transferring ownership of a registered vehicle
When re-registering an unregistered vehicle
As part of the process for registering a newly imported vehicle

It's important to note that a roadworthy certificate is only valid for 2 months or 2,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. If your vehicle fails the inspection, it's crucial to have any necessary repairs made and re-inspect within this timeframe.
